James Welch found guilty of a burglary in the dwelling house of  Samuel Bassill in the parish of Bishops Stortford on 30th December 1744: stealing therefrom 10 yards of linen (valued at £9) and 10 yards of long  lawn (valued at 20/-).  No reprieve traced.
